Associate Software Developer / Intern (AI + Games)
About Voice Games
Voice Games is a multi-platform game studio that turns everyday screens into playgrounds for families, friends, and curious minds — from smart TVs and voice assistants to web and mobile. We build everything from party games and daily puzzles to quick-fire choice games and trivia.
We're a small, fast-moving team that ships real products used by thousands of players. This role is for someone early in their career who's already been building — not waiting for permission to start.
What You'll Do
- Work alongside senior developers to build and ship games across web, smart TV, voice, and mobile.
- Use AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex) every day — speed and comfort with these is essential, not optional.
- Build features end-to-end — frontend UI, backend logic, API integration.
- Work with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Claude) for game mechanics, content generation, and personalization.
- Ship to real platforms used by real players — Alexa, Roku, Fire TV, web, and mobile.
- Learn fast, take ownership of features, and grow into a full-stack developer.
Experience – Must-Haves
- You've built and shipped something — a mobile app, a web app, a game, a tool. We want to see it, not hear about coursework.
- Comfortable with JavaScript / TypeScript and at least one frontend framework (React, Next.js, or similar).
- Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants — you already use tools like Cursor, Claude Code, or Copilot to build faster.
- Familiarity with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Claude, or similar) — even from personal projects or hackathons.
- A GitHub, portfolio, or demo that shows what you've built.
Nice-to-Haves
- Game development experience — Unity, Godot, game jams, or any shipped game project. This is a big plus.
- Hackathon participation or wins.
- Experience with Node.js or backend development.
- Exposure to voice platforms (Alexa Skills), smart TV apps, or mobile development.
- Deployment experience with AWS, Firebase, or Vercel.
Who Should Apply
You're in your final year of engineering or a fresh graduate. You've spent your time building things — hackathon projects, side apps, open-source contributions, or games — not just clearing exams. You're the kind of person who hears about a new AI tool and tries it the same day. If you've ever shipped a game or interactive app, you'll stand out immediately.
What We Offer
- 100% remote work (US / India).
- Real products used by thousands of players — your work ships to real users from day one.
- Hands-on exposure to AI, voice, smart TV, web, and mobile — a range most early-career developers don't get near.
- Mentorship and a fast learning curve in a small team where you're not invisible.
- Competitive compensation based on experience.
