Senior Roku Developer

Role Summary

At Voice Games, we’re revolutionizing family entertainment through engaging voice-activated experiences on Alexa, Smart TV, and Mobile. We’re looking for a talented Senior Roku Developer to be a key player in building the next generation of interactive Smart TV games. You’ll design, develop, and optimize Roku applications that deliver seamless gameplay and intuitive user experiences.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the development of high-quality Roku applications using BrightScript, SceneGraph, and the Roku SDK.
• Collaborate with designers to implement intuitive UI/UX optimized for TV interfaces.
• Work with backend engineers to integrate APIs and real-time gameplay features.
• Ensure compliance with Roku’s app store guidelines and manage the full submission/approval process.
• Optimize application performance for smooth and responsive gameplay.

Experience – Must-Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Roku development (BrightScript, SceneGraph, Roku SDK).
• Proven track record of shipping and maintaining Roku applications in production.
• Strong understanding of Roku’s app lifecycle, certification, and store submission process.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Voice/NLU technologies or voice-interactive applications.
• Exposure to connected TV platforms beyond Roku (Fire TV, Android TV, etc.).
• Knowledge of analytics integration and data-driven feature optimization.
