About Voice Games

Voice Games is a multi-platform game studio that turns everyday screens into playgrounds for families, friends, and curious minds — from smart TVs and voice assistants to web and mobile. We build everything from party games and daily puzzles to quick-fire choice games and trivia.

Smart TV is a core platform for us — our games are already live on Roku and used by millions of players. We're looking for a Senior Roku Developer to own and push this forward.

What You'll Do

• Lead the development of interactive Roku applications using BrightScript, SceneGraph, and the Roku SDK.
• Build game experiences for the TV screen — not just content playback, but real interactivity, game logic, and responsive UI.
• Collaborate with designers to implement UI/UX optimized for TV interfaces and remote-based navigation.
• Integrate APIs and real-time features with backend services.
• Own the full Roku app lifecycle — development, performance optimization, certification, and store submission.
• Work with AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Codex) to move faster.

Experience – Must-Haves

• 4+ years of hands-on Roku development (BrightScript, SceneGraph, Roku SDK).
• Proven track record of shipping and maintaining Roku applications in production.
• Strong understanding of Roku's app lifecycle, certification, and store submission process.
• Experience building interactive applications — not just OTT video playback. If you've built games, quizzes, or any non-streaming interactive experience on Roku, you'll stand out immediately.

Nice-to-Haves

• Game development experience on Roku or any smart TV platform — this is a big plus.
• OTT or streaming app experience — the platform skills transfer, even if the product is different.
• Exposure to other connected TV platforms (Fire TV, Android TV).
• Experience with voice/NLU technologies or voice-interactive applications.
• Familiarity with analytics integration and data-driven optimization.
• Comfortable with AI coding assistants as part of your workflow.
